Weekend Délire

Students were eager to share with us, this morning on our journey to Québec city, their weekend adventures. Here are some anecdotes for your reading pleasure.

Photos and a blog post of today's activities in La Ville de Québec will be up tomorrow: I can barely keep my eyes open, folks!

Bonne lecture, et bonne nuit!

-------------------------------------

Chaya:
Things between me and my correspondent are super! She (and her family) is very nice. Laurie-Anne is like me. She likes to be outside and she also likes video games.

Charlotte:
This weekend I went to my correspondent’s cabin in St-Donat. We went ATVing. We went in the lake and ran straight into the hot tub. But the most fun was horseback riding. We went for a trail ride in the woods, and at one point we got to gallop. It was a really fun weekend!

Devon:
I went to La Ronde on Saturday. I went there all day and then I saw “Night at the Museum 2”.

Josie:
My correspondent’s brother tried to kiss me. He’s 5!

Anonymous:
Saturday we went to La Ronde and had poutine. Sunday, we went to the park and ate ice cream.

Luc:
This weekend started off going to Philip’s party. He has a pool, hot tub and a trampoline! Me and Evan went biking for about an hour and 45 minutes. I almost ran over Paige. The next day, we went Go Karting. It was super awesome!

Evan:
On the weekend I went to a big party at Philip’s house (Max’s correspondent). It was really fun, we did that for the whole day! The next day I went to “Empire” (a Québec store) then we went to mini-golf. Than day we went for ice-cream 3 times!!!

Nick:
This weekend was really awesome. It was packed with great activities. Saturday we went Go Karting with a lot of people and I came in second. It was my first time Go Karting. It was awesome! On Sunday, along with a whole bunch of other people we went to La Ronde and I did the biggest roller coaster there the “Goliath”. It was AWES-OME. That was a end to a perfect weekend!

Ruairidh:
This weekend I went to the birthday of Max’s correspondent. The next day I went Go Karting…it was awesome! We went so fast…I passed everyone!

Cara:
Me, Marie-Michèle and her family went to Ottawa and visited the Parliament Buildings. Not just outside, but we took a tour inside the building. No, we didn’t see the Prime Minister or anybody big. We took the tour in French, but I understood most of it. After all that, we went shopping. That was just one day, but we know that…the weekend is 2 days long! So for the other day, we went shopping Dix 30 (a huge shopping center). It was fun!

Pascal:
I went to Philip’s party. We went to the pool. Also we went to La Ronde.

Josh:
We also went to La Ronde. I got a souvenir glass. I like La Ronde even though I did almost nothing.

Ryan R:
I went Go Karting and when we were in the car going to the Go Karting place, I saw a Motel for sale and it was funny! A lot of boys from school were there. The fastest Go Kart was the number 7. I also went to do mini-put.

Liam:
On Sunday me and my correspondent and a bunch of friends went to La Ronde and we went on the Goliath, and the Monstre, and the Vampire. It was really fun!

Catriana:
This weekend I went shopping with Julie, Sophia, Marie-Andrée, and Marie and Emanuelle in the Vieux Montréal. Than night we went to see the Beatrice’s band with my host family and their grand-parents. It was really fun! And then, Sunday, we went to La Ronde with a lot of girls. It was all very, very fun!

Agata:
Me and my friend Abbey went to La ville de Québec. We went to Vieux Québec and I saw an old church and we just walked around a bit. After we were tired we went to the hotel. Yay! The hotel had a pool! When we were really hungry we went to a restaurant and I had chicken. Québec was really pretty and I was really happy that I got to visit Québec.

Ryan B:
This weekend I went to “La fête du chocolat” and I bought something for my sister. We went to Laser Tag and then to the film Star Trek.

Allanah:
On Saturday, Bronwyn, Judith, me and Camille all went horseback riding. My horse was Paco. First we went on a little trail for 30 to 45 minutes. Bronwyn’s horse (or maybe Bronwyn???) did not want to trot to get closer to the other horse. After the trail, we trotted and galloped in a wooden circle. That was the most fun part of the day!

Ryan M:
With Guillaume and his family we went to Ottawa. “C’était full fun!” We went to the Museum of Science and Technology. We took a guide tour of the parliament and my favorite; we took a guided tour of the museum and the factory of Canadian money.

Kenzie:
Saturday morning we got up early to go to La Ronde. When we got there we were almost the first people there along with a group of people to get in first so the line ups would be smaller. When we got in, we went on all the roller coasters, like the Goliath (that’s the second fastest roller coaster in North America) and all the scary ones. But it was really fun with everyone there.

Jocelyn:
During my weekend I had a lot of fun. I went to the Safari Park and we drove around with our windows open . Animals would stick their heads in to get food (we brought apples and carrots). We touched zebras, buffalos, lamas, and more. I loved the zebras. It was amazing!

Shane:
During the weekend we went to my correspondent’s cousin’s cabin and played a lot of sports and rode an All Terrain Vehicle. On Sunday we went to the Labyrinth of Hanger 16. It was lots of fun. So far the trip has been lots of fun!

Sam L:
On Saturday I did Arbraska with my correspondent and her mom. In 3 and half hours, I got to do all the circuits including the “Expert”. Well actually, I did part of the expert because it is for kids 15 years and up. But there is one part kids can do. It was really hard because the first thing was a rope you swung on, and then you crash into a net. I almost didn’t grab the net!

Beau:
This weekend we went to my correspondent’s cabin. First we went on a “pédalo” (a boat with pedals). Then we went canoeing to little islands in the lake. Sunday we went geocaching.

Alexandra:
We went camping with my correspondent’s Air Cadet group. When we woke up we ate ration packs…they were very disgusting! Until lunch, we collected wood and then after lunch we started to build the shelters we were going to sleep in. When they were finished, we had spaghetti for dinner and then when the others were playing games, I fell asleep and I slept for 12 hours! After breakfast, we destroyed our camp. Before we left, someone saw smoke so one of the instructors went to see what was happening and it was a fire but it was not in the trees, only on the ground. So the instructor went to find anything that could hold water and to fill it and go help the others. Then the firemen came and they finished the work. My weekend was very fun expect that there were a lot of mosquitoes!!
